Preventing Future Misting
Even so, with proper care, the life of a window can be extended considerably. A cleaned frame stops dirt from penetrating the seals, prolonging the window’s life. Regular checks for any cracks in the seals, preferably once every six months, will allow you to repair a potential problem before it develops into a disaster. It is essential for you to ensure trickle gaps and ventilation areas remain open and functional so that humid air inside your home escapes from these areas. This is especially true for areas with a lack of ventilation because the condensation levels tend to rise considerably, further aggravating the seals’ performance. This is because misted windows can be frustrating features in a room and can make a warm room appear cooler than it actually is. However, one can be relieved because this is an easily solved problem, and once a new window is fitted, a room will look brighter and retain heat much better.
